Amanda & Gary | Springfield Missouri Wedding | Affinity Ballroom

The day began with a cloudy sky, light rain, and a true October chill. When I walked into the bridal suite where Amanda and the bridesmaids had begun to get ready, there was a peaceful energy to the room. I knew, instantly, that this was going to be a warm day, despite the chilly air.
The entire day was filled with intentional details and sweet, tender moments. Amanda's father, with so much care, removed the gold buttons from his "Dress Blues" and gave them to Amanda to sew onto the back of her wedding gown. The moment he laid his eyes on her and those buttons along her back, it was all over folks, he had everyone crying along with him.
Gary and Amanda took the time to write each other a special letter, one that left Amanda crying happy tears and Gary smiling from ear to ear. It was the perfect touch to get them in the right frame of mind before walking down the isle. Thirty minutes before the ceremony started the sun came out and kissed the trees. It seemed as though even the sun was blessing the marriage of Mr. & Mrs. Oldham! -- And then they partied. ;)

These father-daughter 'first look' moments always make my heart leap, and then I start crying along with them... ha!

A bride with a sleeve. What a cool chick.

Great photos, as per usual! Since I'm in love now I look more frequently at your wedding shoots & keep thinking how much I'd love for you to shoot mine one day!
