Madison & John | Springfield Missouri Wedding | 319 Downtown

When we walked into the University Plaza Hotel, we were fully expecting our regular anxious groom, but instead we found a goofy, laughing man poking his head out of the door to greet us. That set the tone for the rest of the day.

The clouds brought all-day, on and off, sprinkles and showers which gave us the opportunity to use a vacant loft, within walking distance of 319 Downtown, (their wedding venue) that one of our friends so graciously let us use. It had beautiful light and created a stress-free situation and location for where we could shoot most of the photos if the weather didn't clear up!

We shot their Private-Reveal moment in the front room of Gailey's, because it was one of their special places in Springfield. Ever since they started dating, they would go there every sunday for a breakfast date. After John Proposed to Madison it was the first place they went to celebrate. We wouldn't have had the chance to shoot there if it hadn't been sprinkling outside, so for once, I am thankful for the rain!

The skies cleared and the sun set during the ceremony, just as they had planned and it was as close to perfection as you could get. The night carried on with drinks, dancing and lots of desert - including an incredible wedding cake by Beth's Bake Shoppe.

Thank you guys for having us along to witness and celebrate with you! You guys really know how to throw a party! Can't wait for your Anniversary photos in August!

Special thank you to : Amy Jenkins who styled the loft and Stephen Owen for letting us use his loft! As well as Cindy Rose who was available for all our random needs throughout the day! You three amaze me!
